I have the impression that lately the Sentinel has become more right-wing and
even more parochial and trivial than it was. They also appear to be printing
pages of letters; I suppose it's cheaper than paying journalists to write
articles.
They also publish the opinions of people who pontificate about the rights and
wrongs of the world. I do not know what qualifies them to decide what should
be and why anyone should take any notice of their views. They could be drunken
womanisers for all I know, in fact I am told that this description would fit a
higher proportion of those in the newspaper business than the general public.
Does anyone take it seriously?
